Reed Amos received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations with an emphasis in Middle Eastern affairs from Brigham Young University in 1997 and he earned his Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 2000.
Following graduation, he began practicing law with the renowned criminal defense firm of Sherman & Sherman, PLC in Santa Monica, California. There he represented clients in complex criminal actions, hearings and trials before judges and juries in state and federal court. Much of his defense work in the federal courts involved either financial crimes or large-scale narcotics trafficking with extensive government wiretapping.
In 2007, Reed joined the law firm of Jacobson, Russell, Saltz & Fingerman, LLP in Los Angeles, California as a Senior Associate Trial Attorney. He represented individuals and corporate clients on entertainment law and civil litigation matters largely involving contract disputes, employment issues and intellectual property rights.
Since moving back to Virginia, Reed has been practicing law with Amos & Amos, PLLC. He specializes in criminal defense, civil litigation and family law matters.
Reed is licensed to practice law in Virginia, the District of Columbia and California.
In addition, Reed currently serves in the U.S. Army Reserve's Judge Advocated General Corps as part of the Trial Defense Service (TDS) where he defends service members in courts-martial or administrative hearings.
